Creating tokengated experiences

Tokengating is a strategy that gives NFT token holders access to exclusive products, experiences, content, and more.

Effectively, it's a way of adding more value to an NFT by allowing the holder exclusive access to a community, content, or even physical products in addition to the digital token.

Ownership needs to be verified for NFT holders to receive access to tokengated perks.

Creating a tokengated experience for your brand using Enefits is easy.

There are three aspects to tokengating.

If you would like to tokengated experience based on your users holding your brand's NFTs, the first step is to either create the NFT collection as well as the NFTs. Then distribute NFTs to your users using this guide.

If you already have an NFT collection, you can import the collection into Enefits to make it a target collection using this guide.

If you intend to make a tokengated experience to holders of "external" or "third-party" NFT collections, you can skip this step and read on.

Create an offer in Enefits using this guide and then specify which NFT collection "holders" you want to make the offer available to under Collection Targeting (you can always add/remove collection targets later)

An offer can be anything from an area on your website that is exclusive to NFT holders to a special discount on products to freebies in a mobile game.

Once you've set up your offer and target collections, the last step is to integrate the Enefits SDK with your website or app. This is important because you are able to verify ownership of the NFTs that entitled the holder to the offer you created.
