Walkthough Guide

Watch this quick step-by-step tutorial to get started quickly with Shopify and Enefits (or read on for more details). Important: Be sure to configure Enefits before using this guide!

After Enefits for Shopify has been added to your store and configured, you're ready to start selling NFTs!

There are two steps to selling NFTs in your store:

  1. Create the NFT using Enefits NFTemplates
  2. Publish the NFT to your store

Create an NFT

In order to create an NFT for sale on Shopify, you'll need to first create an NFT collection. Think of NFT collections as folders and NFTs as files.

A quick primer on blockchains and networks

In order to create NFT collections as well as NFTs, you will need a special kind of cryptocurrency called MATIC in your Enefits account which is "spent" on the blockchain whenever a new NFT is minted.

MATIC exists in two special forms: testnet and mainnet to power a "testing" blockchain and a "public" or "primary" blockchain.

When you create your NFT collection, you will need to specify which network you want your NFT collection to live on. Testnet is, as the name implies, for testing purposes and is free to use. If you are testing your setup, you can get "testnet" or "testing" MATIC for free using this guide. However, you should not sell any NFTs to the public that are on testnet. Instead, you'll want to create your NFTs in collections on mainnet.

Mainnet is the primary public blockchain network. When you sell NFTs via your Shopify store, you'll need to make sure that the NFT collection that holds these NFTs are on mainnet.

Once your collection has been created, you can now create an NFTemplate. An NFTemplate is not technically an NFT but an NFT "blueprint" that used to make an NFT. Think of an NFTemplate like a cookie mold.

Publish the NFT to your store

Once your NFT has been created using an NFTemplate, you're ready to publish the NFTemplate to your Shopify store.

  1. Navigate to the NFTemplate details screen from the NFT collection that the NFTemplate was created under
  2. Press Publish to Shopify
  3. Indicate how many NFTs you would like to make available in your Shopify store
  4. Confirm by publishing to your store!

Once your NFT has been published for sale, you can View in Store from the NFTemplate details screen or Unpublish from Shopify at any time.

Testing NFT purchases with free NFTs

To test whether or not your NFTs can be purchased via your Shopify store, navigate to the store URL and purchase the NFT. If you made your NFT a free purcahse you will not need to supply a credit card.

Upon purchase, the NFT will be generated and delivered to the e-mail for the order from the NFTemplate you created earlier.

The e-mail will provide details on how to access the NFT using the Enefits Wallet where it can be transferred elsewhere if desired.
